AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK
Akagera has been created in 1934. It covers 90 hac of land and lakes. Its East side is covered by a range of several lakes from the south up to the north. On the other side the rolling hills of bushy savannah and open air forest of acacia are seen. Marshlands around lakes and rolling hills offer to visitors an enchanting environment. Big mammals like elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion and leopards… are met in this park. Lakes views are magic. Those lakes are home to multitudes of hippopotami, crocodiles and fish. Akagera has more than 525 species of birds. Some are nesting species others are coming by migrations. Akagera is a place for safari, camping, boat riding and bird watching. Is a nice place for family excursions as there is no limited age for children visiting

- 2 day Kigali- Rusumo- Akagera-Kigali: Here we have 2 options; staying at Akagera Game Lodge or camping in the park.
- Trips can be extended for researchers or people who want to track rare species like the shoebill bird or the only one rhinoceros living in the park.

For all those trips we offer full board accommodation either at the hotel or in camping sites. People can prefer to arrange for their own meals if they find it more interesting.
Our rates vary depending on type of car you request; jeeps or minibuses 4X4.
A 20 % discount applies for groups of more than 10 persons and for children.
